A View From A Distance
I create art based upon my individual visual and sculptural ways of thinking. The ideas and concepts demonstrated through my painting and illustration practices are inspired by the vast history of surrealist art and mystical ideas such as that of tarot cards.
My art is a conversation with part of myself I didn’t know existed and many places I still do not understand. This self-reflective and conversational narrative allows the viewers to be made a part of my art in their own subjective way.
My current 144 card collection aims to visually explore my experience with nationality and identity through associated imagery.
