Gai Toms – CARU OK (Hysbyseb)

Noson yng nghwmni Gai Toms a’r atoms.

Set 1 – Caneuon Coll y clo. Gonestrwydd, galar, goroesi.
Set 2 – Gai Toms a’r atoms – BAIAIA!
(+ ambell glasur)

10/11/23 Neuadd Dwyfor, Pwllheli

24 /11/23 Galeri, Caernarfon

Ers y clo mawr, mae Gai Toms wedi bod yn gynhyrchiol iawn, ac wedi cyfansoddi digon o ddeunydd ar gyfer sawl albwm. Eleni, rhyddhawyd ‘Baiaia!’ (Gorffennaf 28 / Recordiau Sain), albwm 10 cân egnïol. Perfformiwyd cyfres o gigs llwyddiannus, a llawn, yn y Steddfod ym Moduan, ac yn edrych ymlaen i gigio mwy. Ydi, mae Baiaia! wedi gweld golau dydd, ond mae’r gweddill dan glo, tan rwan.

Collod Gai Toms ei fam, Gwenda, ym mis Ebrill 2020. Cafwyd angladd gyda 10 o fobl, a hynny oherwydd rheolau’r clo. Yn gyfansoddwr o fri, caeodd Gai ei hun yn ei stiwidio i ymateb yn greadigol i’r golled, a hynny mewn cyfnod dyrys dros ben.

Mae CARU OK yn daith teimladwy o onestrwydd a galar, i ryddid a phosotifrwydd ‘Baiaia!’

Dewch i brofi, dewch i gydymdeimlo, dewch i rannu, dewch i symud ymlaen, dewch i….
CARU OK!

Bendigaydfran – Pwy Sy’n Crio Nawr

Dyma sengl gyntaf unigol yr artist ‘euro pop’, ac mae’n gosod sylfaen i Lewis Owen i roi adenydd i Bendigaydfran. Cafodd Côsh eu cyflwyno i’r artist sy’n byw yng Nghaerdydd, wrth ryddhau ei ‘colab’ gyda Popeth, prosiect pop Cymraeg Ynyr Roberts gynt o Brigyn. Pleser wedyn oedd cael gwybod bod Bendigaydfran yn brosiect oedd am barhau gyda’r sengl ‘Pwy Sy’n Crio Nawr?’. Mae Lewis eisoes wedi bod yn llygaid y cyhoedd yn y blynyddoedd diwethaf wrth fynd yn feiral ambell waith ar TikTok, ond bellach mae’n gobeithio i’r gerddoriaeth bwysig y mae’n rhyddhau cyrraedd yr un uchelfannau.

Dywedodd Lewis, “Rydw i wedi cael digon o ddynion afiach sy’n rheoli fy mywyd fy hun! Dyna yw neges Pwy Sy’n Crio Nawr – y pŵer rydych chi’n ail-ddarganfod ynoch chi’ch hun ar ôl bod mewn perthynas gwenwynig. Mae hon yn gân ddawns gyda thempo cyflym a bass dwfn, gorfoleddus ac ecstatig yn ei naws fel noson llawn tân a chyffro pur. Mae yna fwlch ym myd cerddoriaeth Gymraeg am gerddoriaeth ddawns, clwb, cwiyr a dyma gân sy’n dathlu hwnna i gyd – dyma ni’n dathlu ein hunaniaeth a’r nerth sydd ynom ni oll.”

Mellt – Diwrnod Arall

Fel taran mae Mellt yn dychwelyd i fyd arallfydol fel gyda’u sengl newydd ‘Diwrnod Arall’. Mae cytuno ar syniad cychwynnol er mwyn creu fideo gyda thîm cynhyrchu yn beth anodd gyda’r posibiliadau’n ddiddiwedd. A doedd y ‘prosiect’ yma ddim yn eithriad, gyda thensiynau’n uchel, stormydd yn corddi, Dydd y Farn ar y gorwel… Ond yn achos Mellt, doedd dim angen chwilio ymhell am ysbrydoliaeth. Mae’r band yn cymryd yr awenau eu hunain, hawlio’u hawen greadigol yn ôl a gadael i’r gerddoriaeth siarad drosti hi ei hun. Felly gwyliwch, gwrandewch, mwynhewch. Daw gosteg wedi’r storm.
