Ar ôl cael ei hysbrydoli gan Ysgol Ddawns Canolfan y Celfyddydau, Aberystwyth, aeth Elan Elidyr i astudio dawns yn Rubicon Dance, Caerdydd a Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance yn Munich, Yr Almaen. Wedi graddio dychwelodd i Gymru lle mae hi wedi ennill bwrsariaethau gan Gyngor y Celfyddydau a Cwmni’r Franwen ac wedi gweithio efo cwmniau megis NTW a Theatr Clwyd tra hefyd yn gweithio ar brosiectiau annibynnol. Ers Awst 2020 mae wedi bod yn gweithio fe rhan o dîm Groundwork Pro. Mae’r cyfle hwn i weithio ar brosiect efo CDCCymru wedi ei chyffroi’n llwyr!

Inspired by Aberystwyth Arts Center’s School of Dance, Elan Elidyr studied dance at Rubicon Dance, Cardiff and Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich, Germany. After graduating she returned to Wales where she has won bursaries from the Arts Council and Cwmni Franwen and has worked with companies such as NTW and Theatr Clwyd while also working on independent projects. Since August 2020 he has been working as part of the Groundwork Pro team. This opportunity to work on a project with NDCWales is really exciting!

Mae Mr Phormula yn un o arloeswyr y sîn bît-bocsio yn y DU. Wedi’i wreiddio’n ddwfn yn nhirwedd Cymru, mae’i berfformiadau ysbrydoledig a’i gyfansoddiadau lleisiol wedi rhoi cydnabyddiaeth ryngwladol i’w waith fel bît-bocsiwr, rapiwr a chynhyrchydd blaenllaw.
Mae doniau dwyieithog Mr Phormula yn unigryw ac mae hyn, ynghyd â’i rhythmau slic, llinellau bas cymhellol a’i ddawn leisiol, wedi datblygu cefnogwyr ymroddedig ym mhob rhan o Gymru, y DU ac UDA. Ef yw pencampwr Lwpio Cymru ar hyn o bryd, ac yn 2013, bu’n is-bencampwr Lwpio’r DU.
Mae wedi gweithio gyda rhai o fawrion y byd hip hop gan gynnwys The Pharcyde, Jungle Brothers, Boy better Know, Plan B, Professor Green a’r chwedlonol Krs-One, ac mae hyn oll yn dangos ansawdd a chwmpas doniau cynhyrchu Mr Phormula sy’n ategu natur farddonol ei ddwyieithrwydd.
Mae Mr Phormula’n un o’r artistiaid mwyaf prysur yn sîn hip hop y DU, ac mae wedi perfformio mewn nifer o leoliadau, clybiau nos a gwyliau (gan gynnwys Neuadd Albert yn Llundain, un o lwyfannau mwyaf eiconig y byd), yn ogystal ag ymddangosiadau lawer ar deledu a radio cenedlaethol.
Mae’i waith newydd arloesol yn datblygu’r sîn hip hop yng Nghymru yn ogystal â hyrwyddo’r genre dwyieithog deinamig ar draws y byd.

Mr Phormula is a pioneering beat-boxer and live looping artist. With a career as diverse as the Welsh landscape within which he is rooted Mr Phormula’s inspired performances and vocal compositions have gained him international recognition as a leading beatboxer, rapper and producer.
The fluidity of Mr Phormula’s bilingualism is distinctive and this, along with slick rhythms, compelling bass lines and vocal dexterity, have earned him a broad and committed fanbase from across Cymru, the UK and the USA. Titles include being the current Welsh Looping champion and in 2013 he was the Vice UK Looping Champion.
Collaborations with hip hop greats including The Pharcyde, Jungle Brothers, Boy better Know, Plan B, Professor Green and legend Krs-One also highlight the quality and range of Mr Phormula’s music production talents which compliment the poetic nature of his bilingualism.
Mr Phormula has a reputation for being one of the hardest working artists on the UK hip-hop scene and has performed at a variety of venues, nightclubs and festivals (including one of the most iconic stages in the world – The Royal Albert Hall) as well as making numerous national TV and radio appearances.
This artist’s innovative new releases continue to grow the Welsh hip-hop scene at home while promoting this dynamic bilingual genre abroad.
