Are you passionate about heritage, especially the heritage of Welsh-African diaspora? Then this role is for you. We are looking to recruit for the Kumbukumbu (‘memories’) project. The coordinator will work with a cohort of storytellers (artist, musicians, poets and more) from the community to find new ways of retelling and sharing Black Welsh histories, inspired by African and Diaspora traditions of remembering and sharing heritage. The post holder will be responsible for Leading on recruitment of storyteller cohort; Working with Kumbukumbu Project partners to map and research Welsh African heritage, memories, and culture across Wales; Co-ordinating community workshops; Documenting and compiling work digitally; Connecting with schools and heritage institutions to share resources. This role includes travel across Wales. The post holder for this role will need to establish rapport with relevant groups in Wales for the purpose of the community engagement element of the role.
