Bridie Doyle-Roberts is a Multi-disciplinary artist and poet based in Pontypridd.

Having discovered she has a degenerative eye condition, Bridie is stepping into the uncertain world of impending blindness. With this immersive art installation, Bridie is exploring the spectrum of sight, how we see, what we see and what it means to be an artist when the visual world is getting lost in the dark.

Spectrum of Sight is a tactile exhibition of upholstered furniture and domestic lighting set in the Marble Hall of the Temple of Peace in Cardiff. The work is accompanied by a triple soundscape by Composer, Simon McCorry and bilingual poetry by Bridie Doyle-Roberts which will be accessed via Silent Disco headsets.

If you do not wish to use headsets, and would prefer to read a copy of the spoken word audio on paper, then please select the ticket for no headset.

Someone can be available to offer audio description if required, although there are elements of audio description within the poetry and soundscape.

If you would like to discuss access requirements prior to arrival please get in touch at stiwdio.c@gmail.com or 07852157033.
