CEREDIGION

CommunitiesFilm

Get the hell out of here. That’s what most young people brought up in rural communities want to do. Or so the popular media story goes..

The short film CEREDIGION questions that lazy narrative. Talking to those about to go as well as some who’ve been and come back the film marks the end of the Welsh Government’s Arfor initiative that provided realistic grants to help young entrepreneurs invest in their futures in rural, Welsh-speaking communities.

Although partly financed by Arfor, the social film-making enterprise Wes Glei insisted upon, and got, a free editorial rein allowing them to dig deeper and find out what’s really going on in those young Welsh-thinking minds as they look towards the future.
