Menna Angharad was born and raised in Gwynedd, she studied Botany in Bangor and then fine art in London and Cardiff.
Painting still-life works in oil on linen canvas she works directly from life, creating subtle images that contemplate the precious and intriguing nature of everyday objects, whilst leaving space for the viewer’s own thoughts and interpretations. Her works are defined by muted tones, with touches of nature’s brightest colours, along with powerful knife and brush work, all of which give her paintings a shimmering and immediate quality.
