Bangor Music Festival 2021 will explore the theme ‘the environment’ through a series of online concerts here on AM, featuring a number of distinguished artists, namely the harpist and composer Mared Emlyn, the Solem Quartet, singers Caryl Hughes, Paul Carey Jones with pianist Wyn Davies, the Bangor New Music Ensemble and friends, before culminating with the atmospheric sounds of Electroacoustic Wales.
We celebrate the 75th birthay of Welsh composer John Metcalf by featuring many of his best known chamber and vocal works alongside new commissions by Mared Emlyn, Guto Pryderi Puw, Jasmin Kent Rodgman and Thomas Whitcombe and acousmatic music by Andrew Lewis and Hildegard Westerkamp.
