Translated to Let’s Go, Machynlleth! in English, our Amdani, Fachynlleth! festivals were born to inspire, inform and entertain audiences across the topic of travel. It’s such a vast topic of conversation and we’re so excited to hear from each and every speaker about their experiences, travel stories and their inspirations for writing. The festival itself is the brainchild of Wynnstay Hotel owners Charles Dark and Sheila Simpson. The market town of Machynlleth has hosted some of Wales’ most-loved events including classical music festival Gwyl Machynlleth in the Tabernacle, the Folk Festival and the Comedy Festival over the years. Following the success of such festivals, the team saw a gap in the market for one focusing on travel and got to work to pull the first one together in 2021. It is hoped the April festival will become an annual event.
