The digital home of Welsh culture.

Jordan Nicole – Digital Company

For this residency, I am expanding on my mapping practice and building a dedicated web-based environment that functions simultaneously as artwork, map, and archive. ʎuɐdɯoɔ lɐʇıɓıp will be an exploratory digital space, a living map that invites visitors to move through its layers and experience the instability of digital identity firsthand. I’ll be constructing an environment where fragments of memory, identity, and internet culture unfold as interactive, cartographic encounters.

My practice explores the internet as both landscape and memory. A shifting, unstable space where identity is continually formed, performed, and reformed. I’m interested in how online selves evolve over time, leaving behind digital trails of encounters and glitches that collectively form fragmented archives of who we once were and who we are becoming. These scattered traces resist coherence, yet they mirror the instability of digital life itself.

Working through mapping as both method and metaphor, I use digital processes to trace connections between personal memory and collective experience. Mapping becomes a way to navigate unstable terrains while also reimagining how archives, interfaces, and aesthetics can be read as evolving landscapes.
