The Blue Pool follows Daniel Lazenby, a Welsh artist whose son Rafe died four days after his birth. In his attic studio, Daniel spent nearly four years painting his inner world. Now, the private work is made public. Originally made for the Sheffield DocFest Filmmaker Challenge 2026, The Blue Pool follows Daniel’s voice through grief, taboo, and rebuilding, set against his darkly expressive, exploratory paintings.
