Only Leave Love Behind by FFLOW.

With COP 27 around the corner, this song feels urgent. It was written during COP 26 after Carys was chosen to be a part of a Climate Project called ‘Everything Change’ with Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea and Dhaka Literature festival in Bangladesh, led by Owen Sheers and Margaret Attwood.

This is FFLOW’s second single – a heartfelt, anthemic ballad with powerhouse vocals, a song which asks people to think about the future they leave behind for others ‘The end lyrics are particularly aimed at world leaders’ said writer Carys Eleri. The lyrics are very personal, as it reflects on a loved one, who, as the song says – only left love behind.

The video is supported by National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Coco & Cwtsh, Dhaka Literature Festival and Taliesin Arts Centre. Shot by Andy Pritchard & Stephen Hart and co-directed by Carys Eleri.

Lyrics and music were written by Carys Eleri, the arrangement, instruments and production all by Branwen Munn at Goldhill Studios.

FFLOW want to direct people to varying climate tackling charities during COP 27, as a course of action.

FFLOW was formed during lockdown. Having spent years collaborating on comedy projects, the two decided to form a band together to express themselves in different ways and go with the FFLOW 😉 Having worked together on a project for National Theatre Wales in lockdown and co-creating a song called ‘Go Tell the Bees – Dod Nol at fy Nghoed’,  which focuses on our connection with nature in light of grief, the two have since embarked on a journey to discover those sounds and lyrics that comfort and lift us in difficult times.
