Larynx Entertainment recently teamed up with the North East Wales Cohesion team to present N.E.W. Futures, a project with the aim of using rap music as a means to bring positive change to individuals and the community.
Throughout the duration of the project the participants: Benzy, JP, Flowan, Xelous and Entah have discussed issues within the community of Wrexham and why they think rap music and this participating in it receive negative press. They also went in depth on sensitive topics that each individual has been presented with living in Wrexham and talked candidly about the communities they represent and how that has shaped them in their early adult lives.
This culminated in the artists creating tracks tackling themes that were important to them recorded at ELM Studios based in Mold, North Wales. Those tracks were also filmed as part of Larynx’s flagship freestyle series “LOADED” captured by Ethan Gilbert Media with AC Creative capturing additional content before being packaged into an EP available for streaming everywhere.
Finally N.E.W. Futures presented a showcase at Ty Pâwb, Wrexham with performances from each artist capped off by their “LOADED” session.
