How can growing our own food help to tackle climate change? What are the other benefits of community food growing? And how can communities get started if they want to grow their own food and make sure they’re gardening in the most environmentally-friendly way possible?
Join us with speakers from Social Farms & Gardens, Incredible Edible and the Global Gardens Project to discuss the role of community food growing in tackling climate change and boosting local food security, as well as what support is available in Wales for your community to start your own food growing projects.
Several of our Egin-supported groups have ambitions to start community growing projects, and a lot of our Peer Mentors are experienced in working with everything from school gardens to regenerative agriculture, food pantries to permaculture – so we’re expecting plenty of lively discussion and opportunities for you to meet each other, share stories and ask questions!
