What is White Privilege?
White privilege does not mean that your life hasn’t been difficult, it means that the colour of your skin hasn’t made your life more difficult. It means that when we go to a shop the main displays will be for hair and make-up products for people who look like us. It means that we have been taught that the history of your country is a history of people who look like us. It means that we have never had to consider whether anything bad that has happened to us had a racist context. It means that we never had to be educated, as children, about systematic racism for our own protection.
