TAPE has been running a variety of projects over the last year connected to Below the Waves. Including scriptwriting, arts and crafts, test animation, photography, sound design, music and much more. We’ve also been working with local organisations and schools. TAPE works co-creatively. This means that we work together to make sure everyone feels included and has an opportunity to take part. This is not found frequently in the film industry.
Tape is collaborating with people from various communities to bring this story to life. The project which is funded for 18 months, aims to develop new approaches to arts and wellbeing and measure the impact and social value for organisations, individuals, and communities. By March there will of been over 208 workshop sessions and 400 hours of delivery. Stay tuned for updates on the workshops and events we’ve been working on this year!
In January and February 2025, TAPE will tour North Wales with an exhibition showcasing the research and development phase of our third feature film, Below the Waves.
Over the past year, TAPE has been working closely with individuals and community groups, offering a wide range of creative workshops. From photography to set building and sound design to sea shanties, these sessions have brought together diverse skills and talents to help shape the world of Below the Waves.
This exhibition provides a behind-the-scenes look at the early stages of this film’s production. You’ll see storyboards and concept art and listen to soundscapes, all of which have been crafted by the community.
