Archif presents… Lorna Joscelyne

Felt truly blessed to be tattooed by Lorna aka @0lutatt0, with a design I’ve carried in my head for over six months. A design that felt personal to us both, for entirely different reasons ~ I’m always inspired by art that exists in our little patch of home, and how it can transmute into something totally new.

It’s Susan Williams-Ellis’ 8-pointed star, from a ceramic tile I spotted that probably was made for use in Portmeirion ~ now sitting beside Lorna’s take on Pamela Colman Smith’s The Star tarot card.

Feels like I’m collecting little lucky charms from her.
She’s so bloody talented, as a painter and a tattooist, and so so deeply passionate about art. Creating for the sake of it. Making Art to Make Art. From being taught at a young age by the late Eleanor Brooks, to currently practicing her tattoo magic in her London Studio, this girl has always been true. Lorna also has deep roots here: she grew up just down the road and worked for years at Plas Brondanw—when she’s not based in London that is. So blessed and grateful.
