Recordiau Côsh Records

Recordiau Côsh Records was founded by Yws Gwynedd, Jason Hughes and Owain Jones in 2004 to release their band Frizbee’s catalogue. 10 years later Ywain reignited the label to release his solo material, and in 2017 he took the project further by offering to help Mei Emrys release his debut album ‘Llwch’.
After hearing songs by young artists such as ‘Gwilym’ and ‘Lewys’ on Soundcloud, Côsh began releasing material by new artists for the first time.
By now 19 artists have released via Côsh and the family is constantly growing.
In 2019 Alffa, a young band from Llanrug reached one million streams on Spotify with the song ‘Gwenwyn’, the first Welsh language song to do this.
