Recordiau Bopa are an independent record label that releases the music of jazz sextet Burum.
Established in 2011, they’re released ‘Caniadau’ in 2011, Llef in 2016 (both on CD) and they’ll be releasing ‘Eneidiau’, Burum’s new album, exclusively on vinyl in July 2022.
Burum perform jazz readings of Welsh folk tunes, fusing a deep respect for the original folk melodies themselves with the flexibility and dynamics of jazz improvisation – beautiful, melancholic melodies are performed alongside fiery solos and deep grooves.
