Walk-shops to suit all abilities.
Stretchy Symbionts is a celebration of our interwoven-ness with all the other beings. Specifically focusing on lichen life here in west Wales, one of the richest lichen ecosystems in Europe and indeed the planet, we will walk, touch, peer at and co-respond with these organisms. We will consider what it is to be symbiotic and play with the possibilities of being together through ‘stretchy’ movement practices.
With movement artist Simon Whitehead, ecologist Yusef Samari and dance artist Stirling Steward.
Saturday 18th July- Woodland Lichen walk in Ty Canol Woods (approx. 2 miles, uneven ground) & workshop at Canolfan Llwynihirion Brynberian. 10am – 3pm (ages 10+)
Sunday 19th July A.M. – Fully Accessible workshop (no walking) at Canolfan Llwynihirion Brynberian & Gardens. 10.30am – midday (open to all)
Sunday 19th July P.M.– Rock Lichen walk to Carnedd Meibion Owen (approx. 1 mile, uneven ground) & workshop at Canolfan Llwynihirion Brynberian. 1.30pm – 4.30pm (ages 10+, bring packed lunch)
