Tŷ Cerdd present ‘Tapestri’

To celebrate St David’s Day 2026, Tŷ Cerdd presents Tapestri, a collection of short films capturing the spirit of 15 musical groups across the length and breadth of Wales. Tapestri weaves the vibrant story of Welsh music today.

Created during January 2026 by award-winning filmmaker Meinir Siencyn, the films offer an intimate look at the music being created today and the importance of such groups to communities across the country.

From a choir formed by refugees and asylum seekers to traditional folk ensembles, and from a brass band to a triple harp collective, from male voice choirs to a free-improvisation group, Tapestri proves that the sound of Wales is more diverse than ever before.

Tapestri is made possible thanks to Welsh Government’s St David’s Day 2026 Fund, which is supporting projects across Wales in celebration of our heritage, culture and values. The fund aims to make St David’s Day 2026 the most memorable yet.
