12 short films telling Swansea stories in 60 seconds are now available to stream free from Ffilm Cymru Wales.
The eclectic collection of 60-second shorts was crafted by Swansea creatives, who combined writing, photography, film and music to share their own experiences of the city using just their smartphones. They chronicle an assortment of stories by a variety of voices, from historic heroes of the local community to a radically optimistic vision of a sustainable future.
This creative skills programme from Ffilm Cymru Wales was led by Welsh filmmaker Charlotte James, whose debut short film Doss House was produced by Maisie Williams through Ffilm Cymru Wales’ Beacons scheme. During workshops at Gower College, Creative Writing Tutor Emma Beynon helped participants develop their scripts, before local videographer Jamie Panton provided practical on-set support as Production Tutor.
