Hudson’s work moves between the concepts of art and culture, challenging our conceptions of contemporary sculpture.
Taking inspiration from narratives prevalent in popular culture, Hudson combines these themes with powerful, often emotive subject matter arising either from the artists personal experiences or observations.
Hudson uses texture, colour and form to engage the viewer, playing with the audiences preconception of the medium to ignite questions around the processes used in each process.
An impressive body of work from Hudson will be exhibited at BREAKING THE SILENCE at Blackwater Gallery this June.
